PissOff is an angry barking blue-in-the-face mad proximity sensor. Once turned on it calibrates to its environment and then detects an object approaching (well, let's face it, a cat, this is about cats). At a certain threshold it starts the mad barking.
A stencil is not a requirement for building PissOff. You will be able to assemble the kit as you would normally with a soldering iron.
If you prefer to use solder paste (which is another soldering technique that usually requires a stencil, solder paste, and other equipment) you are able to order the stencil from OSH Stencils. Totally optional.

This Boldport Project PissOff Guide explains several aspects of the software used in the Boldport project #9 “PissOff”.
It also describes the commands of the maintenance mode and how you prepare the SD card for the project.
